Choosing this board
The Yama is an excellent starting point for children who would struggle to handle a longer, heavier adult paddleboard. Its lightweight, compact shape makes learning basic technique more enjoyable, while the included youth paddle is better suited to smaller paddlers. Although rated for riders up to 80 kg, taller adults may find its short waterline and narrow standing area less comfortable.
