Store Manager

Windermere Canoe Kayak is a dedicated Paddlesports shop on the lakeshore of Windermere, we have great staff, great products, a great store in a great location. As well as a specialist retailer we are also a busy hire centre for Watersports and Cycles.

As the Manager at Windermere Canoe Kayak you can be yourself and use your initiative to implement your strategic skills to push your store to operate to its fullest potential. You will contribute towards the standards, goals and performance you want your team to achieve. It takes commitment, hard work and dedication to be a successful manager but don’t be fooled, this doesn’t mean you can’t have fun and enjoy the benefits and rewards that this role brings.

You are in control of the store and will be responsible for motivating your team and ensuring they provide an amazing customer experience. You are also in charge of banking / finance duties, stock take / deliveries and meeting sales and profitability targets. This isn’t a back office job, prepare to roll your sleeves up and engage with our amazing customers and get involved!

What would my main responsibilities be?

•             Coach and motivate the team to achieve amazing results

•             Look to drive sales and meet targets

•             Complete administration, stock take and banking /  finance duties

•             Ensure you and your team provide a fantastic customer service experience

•             Be happy, friendly, smile and have fun

•             Prepare and deliver our products for retail and hire

•             Ensure that our store looks presentable and vibrant


Do I have what it takes?

Naturally, this is a role that requires previous retail or management experience or if you have supervisory / team leader experience and are looking to progress your career then we want to hear from you!  

The right candidate would have existing Knowledge of the paddlesport sector and ideally qualifications in paddlesports or experience of working in hire centres. Providing you are customer focused, can motivate a team, aren’t afraid of hard work and thrive in a fun fast paced environment then you definitely have what it takes!

Role: Windermere Canoe Kayak Store Manager

Location: Windermere. 

Hours: Full-Time / Permanent

Salary: £26,000 + depending on experience and qualification
